Dollar Store Pom Pom Tree

December 5, 2017 by lorrin sell 1 Comment

The Dollar Store is one of my favorites.  I am always amazed by what you can actually find in there.  I love it so much, I dedicated a whole post to things you should never spend more than $1 on.  Today, I’m so excited to share the cutest dollar store pom pom tree.  I love it so much, and it was really fun, and quick to make.  It’s going right into T’s room.

 What you need:

  • 2 bags of pom poms (from the dollar store)
  • 1 foam cone (from the dollar store)
  • 1 gold jingle bell (I got a bag from the dollar store)
  • tacky craft glue  (not regular white glue)

What to do:

Work in small sections from the bottom to the top, and glue pom poms on your cone.  Be sure to place the pom poms close enough to keep the cone from showing through. This is the cutest dollar store pom pom tree.  It's super fun, and quick to make. We didn’t follow a pattern, but we were sure to stagger the pom poms the way you would with bricks. This is the cutest dollar store pom pom tree.  It's super fun, and quick to make. It's a perfect craft to make with kids or on your own.

Once you get to the top, place one jingle bell at the top for the star!  This is the cutest dollar store pom pom tree.  It's super fun, and quick to make. It's a perfect craft to make with kids or on your own.

I had really hoped to make 2 trees, but I only purchased 2 bags of pom poms, and one tree used 1 and a half bags.

That’s it!!  This was such a fun project, and really looks GREAT!  I don’t think this would work as well with regular white glue so be sure to use tacky glue.  It was the best craft to make with T, she basically did it herself but the little bit of help I offered was enough to make it seem like a team project.  This is the cutest dollar store pom pom tree.  It's super fun, and quick to make. So, what do you think?  Are you headed to the dollar store to get these materials??
