Dollar Tree us quickly becoming one of my favorite stores. There are just some things you should never pay more than dollar to buy. We happen to live on a side of town with less shopping options, and we are limited in choices when we are left with last minute errands to run. Fortunately, there is no shortage of bargain stores in our area meaning we often find ourselves at the Dollar Tree.
Since nothing in the store costs more than a dollar there is little that is off limits. BUT there are a few things, I would be hard pressed to buy anywhere else anymore.
12 things you should NEVER

1. Cleaning supplies
Some of you may be set on a specific brand for your cleaning supplies, and I totally understand that, but keep in mind, several of your favorite brands are available at the Dollar Tree.
2. Magic Erasers
These may not be name brand but they work just as well, and they are cheap!! I don’t know where I would be without a constant supply of these.
3. Snacks
I am a big supporter of Aldi, and that hasn’t changed, but when I need to grab some snacks or treats for the school, the Dollar Tree doesn’t disappoint. I’ve also taken my kids there to choose a ton of snacks for a birthday party, or a sleepover!
4. Bandaids
People constantly tease me because we do not keep bandaids in the house, and the reason is– kids. The second these kids know there are bandaids in the house every scrape they’ve ever gotten requires a bandage. I just couldn’t afford to keep them in the house. Until now..
5. Medicine
Anything from melatonin, and vitamins to aleve, and tylenol can be found at the Dollar Tree, and nine time out ten the active ingredients are EXACTLY the same!
6. Children’s Art Supplies
I have this thing about new name brand art supplies. I have no idea why but I have shiny object syndrome. I just love a new box of crayons or markers. But my kids open that box up and destroy it in minutes. Even if they love the heck out of those crayons, or markers, I am dying a little inside every time they break a crayon, or color over blue with a yellow marker (I know there HAVE to be at least a few of you out there who get me). The other day I bought a giant box of crayons, and a new coloring book for the kids. I don’t feel even a tiny bit upset over the broken crayons or the fact that the book is already almost completely full. They are having a blast, and clearly don’t care at all that the crayons and book were purchased at the Dollar Tree.
7. Pregnancy Tests
Sadly, I don’t think I figured out these could be purchased at the Dollar Tree until we were on our 4th baby. We would have saved so much money had I known.
8. Dog Treats
Name brand or not, you can find loads of goodies for your puppies at the Dollar Tree. Do you really think they care WHERE you bought it? I seriously doubt it!
9. Organizational containers
So many colors, and sizes! You can use them anywhere!
10. Bread
Did you know they sell bread at the Dollar Tree?? I am a bit of a bread snob, and while I will always eat it, but not all bread tastes the same. I did run out of bread for lunches the other day, and ran to the Dollar Tree for a new loaf the other day. I was pleasantly surprised, and I believe if you get there at the right time, they even have name brand options!!
11. Office/ School supplies
This stuff is expensive!!! The options at Dollar Tree are pretty incredible considering the price!
12. Dinnerware
You may not want to purchase all of your plates here (or maybe you do!) but you should definitely check out the selection. Especially, if you’re looking for chargers, or a something decorative to deliver a dish you’re attending. No worries about getting back your plate when you’re done!
What would you add to the list of things you should never pay more than a dollar to buy?
