hello, everyone!! hopefully, you are all enjoying this crock pot series. and more importantly, it’s making your life a little easier! i’ve got a special treat today— crock pot chicken parm! i have to admit, chicken parm is my all-time favorite food, but i have never made it in the crock pot. that is, i hadn’t ever made it in the crock pot, until last night! typically, when i make chicken parm, i bread the chicken, then brown it. in the interest of making this a recipe that was super simple, and could be done in a matter of minutes in the morning before running out the door, i skipped that step. i’m so glad i did!! it was delicious and so fast that this will most definitely be added to our dinner rotation!!
crock pot chicken parm
ingredients
4- 5 medium chicken breasts
3 eggs whisked
2 cups italian seasoned panko bread crumbs
1 jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce (i used homemade spaghetti sauce that i made in the crock pot)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
trim the chicken. spread a small amount of spaghetti sauce on the bottom of the crock pot. dip chicken in eggs, and coat in panko crumbs. place in a single layer in the crock pot and cover with remaining sauce. cook on low 6-8 hours or high 4-6 hours. 30 minutes before serving sprinkle cheese over chicken. continue cooking until cheese is melted. serve with pasta and garlic bread. no one will be hungry when dinner is over! unless, of course, you have a kid that only eats hot dogs, chicken nuggets, and pizza. i may, or may not, have one of those…
