cherry limeade float

Christmastime is one of my most favorite times of year.  It’s also one of the busiest times of year. Taking a break to do something fun with the kids isn’t always easy.  This cherry limeade float was the perfect way for us to have a little fun together.  It’s also the simplest addition to a holiday party.  Just because it’s getting chillier doesn’t mean we have to put away the ice cream!  Why would anyone want to do that?

You guys!  Sparkling ice makes this fun treat insanely easy, and no one even realized it!  The best part is, it only requires two ingredients- Cherry Limeade Sparkling Ice, and vanilla ice cream!  That’s it!

Sparkling Ice comes in a ton of different flavors, but we love cherry limeade!!  You could make these floats with any flavor though.  The cherry limeade makes a fun, festive float.   You guys, I love the idea of making fun snacks, and spending all kinds of time making crafts with my kids, but if I can’t get it done in a few minutes, it ain’t happening.  Even if I manage to gather all of the ingredients, or supplies, chances are they’re going to gather dust in the cabinet before I find the time to get ‘er done.  We happen to love Sparkling Ice anyhow (I like to add it as a treat to the kids’ lunches- you can see my post on making lunches less boring here!) so it’s a quick grab from the fridge. This cherry limeade float is the perfect festive snack for your holiday party, or just a special snack. We added some candy canes to make our floats more exciting!  No boring snacks today.  All it took was a couple of minutes, and we turned our boring afternoon into fizzy fun! This cherry limeade float is the perfect festive snack for your holiday party, or just a special snack.
