quick and easy photo album

October 24, 2016 by lorrin sell 10 Comments

I have visions of creating gorgeous albums, every year, for my children to pour over when they are older.  I imagine well-planned books filled with pages of our memories.  I can’t tell you how much I value printing your pictures. Having tangible images either in book form, or hanging on your walls is so important.  Guess how many books I have printed.  Go on, I’ll wait. Did you take a guess?  The answer is 2.  In the twelve years since we became parents, I have managed to make TWO  photo albums.  Now guess why.  I have no time. Making albums can be time consuming, and sometimes, the thought of the task at hand, is enough for me to the brakes on that idea.

I can't believe how easy this photo album was to make. I am so happy to have my pictures printed in a book.

I have found the solution to my problem (it’s also the reason I now have 2 albums as opposed to the one I previously had!)–  Shutterfly’s Make my Book service!!  Within a matter of 10 minutes, I had a complete album set up and sent to Shutterfly.  I added pictures, and set some simple preferences like my basic style preference, the title of the book, and how many embellishments I like, and sent that right on over to Shutterfly’s Make my Book  Boom!  That was it!  They put the book together, chose the embellishments, wrote some little quotes on a couple of pages, and sent me a draft.  So, yeah, I was totally impressed with how easy the service was. Especially since I was able to make adjustments to it once Shutterfly’s Make my Book service sent the draft to me.  I added a few personal touches to it, and hit the accept button.

Then, I got the book.  Let me tell you, it’s beautiful!  Gorgeous, lay-flat pages, a beautiful customized, hard-cover, and professional quality pages.  I can hardly believe this album was so easy to make.  This is the go-to service for busy moms like myself.  I love the size of the book, and how well-made it is.  The kids (and I) have already shared it with their friends.  There really isn’t anything more fun that looking through albums.  I remember spending hours at my grandmother’s looking through magnetic photo albums filled with faded pictures of her children and grandchildren.  I love the fact that my children will have something other than social media albums to look through with their children one day.

If you have been putting off printing your family’s albums, you absolutely have to check this out.  I couldn’t be happier with ours.  Maybe now I can finally get caught up!!

Are you up to date with your family’s photo albums?  Or are you as far behind as we are?

Oh my gosh this sounds amazing. I have pictures of my son printed and I have a photo album ready… But that’s been the status since his first birthday. Like 9 months ago I need this!

I LOVE Shutterfly’s photo books! As someone who prints photos all the time and actually has current big photo albums in my home, their photo books have been a life (and space!) saver!

beautiful book! So many photos get lost on our phones, but it doesn’t take long to make these beautiful photo albums and preserve memories.

I used to scrapbook – both me and my sister. But that took too much time (and not to mention money). It was actually my mom who introduced us to these Shutterfly Photo books. She has a bunch from all her vacations. I can’t wait to make my first one!

berniedette, i feel like realizing we can’t get everything done has taken so much pressure off of me. even in terms of digital photo books, i tend to be a bit of a control freak. that just means i end up putting it off. i love this book! you will love yours too, i’m sure!
