the easiest monkey bread ever

March 10, 2017 by lorrin sell Leave a Comment

Breakfast is a favorite in this house, and the sweeter it is, the better. My kids are obsessed with pancakes, and french toast, and anything else they can get away with putting syrup on.  They are also obsessed with cinnamon sugar.  Unfortunately for them, I am a terrible pancake maker, and I am not a morning person.  Which means I refuse to make anything that takes any real effort on my part. This is super easy monkey bread though, and earned me a couple of cool mom points, so it was a total win!

This was seriously the easiest monkey bread ever!  And, the kids loved it!

Just a couple of tips:

Make sure you use a bundt cake pan.  I used a tube pan with a removable bottom, and that was a mistake.  The butter leaked out of the bottom and into my oven.  These kinds of things are the reason I don’t bake.  Now you know… so don’t make the same mistake I did!

The inside with continue to cook after you take it out of the oven.  I was worried that the inside was still a little gooey when I took it out of the oven.  I ended up taking it out anyhow because I was afraid it would get burnt on the top if I didn’t.  I’m so glad I did because after it sat for a little bit, and I cut it (because I was taking a picture) it was completely cooked.  In fact, I wished I would have taken it out sooner (I did adjust the time on this menu to reflect that).

Well, that’s it for easy monkey bread.  If your kids love breakfast, or sweet desserts, they will love this!
