over the last several years, i have switched up this recipe more times than i can count. i have added all sorts of different things, but this is hands down the way to go when making this recipe. the pineapple and brown sugar are absolutely key ingredients– without the pineapple the chicken isn’t nearly as tender as it with it. just trust me on this one, this is the way to go!!
hawaiian barbecue chicken
ingredients
4-5 medium chicken breasts, trimmed
1 can crushed pineapple in pineapple juice
1 bottle of your favorite barbecue sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
dump all of that goodness into the crock pot and cook on high 4-6 hours or low 6-8 hours.
