a good friend of ours gave us this recipe years ago, and we have sort of taken it and run with it over the years. i haven’t met a person that likes sausage who didn’t fall in love with this recipe.
i totally chose to back this recipe up to the chicken fajitas recipe because it meant that i could cut up veggies all at once and set some of them aside for the next day. prep time equaled a whopping 5 minutes this morning. holllaaaa!!!
sweet italian sausage
ingredients
2 packages of sweet italian sausage (about 10 sausage links)
1 green pepper sliced
1 red pepper sliced
1 small onion sliced
2 can crushed tomatoes
a pinch of crushed red pepper
3 TBSP brown sugar
dump all of those goodies into the crock pot, and cook on low 6-8 hours or high 4-6 hours.
