(Nope NOT a sponsored post, just a little something I thought I would share with you all since it’s been so great for our family!) We have been shopping at Aldi for about 5 years now, and I’m not even kidding when I say it destroys me to have to go elsewhere to pick up a few things.
It just costs so much more to shop anywhere else. IF there is something we can’t find at Aldi (and it’s few and far between), we find an alternative at Aldi. I have pretty much tweaked our grocery list to include only things we can find at Aldi at this point.
They have so many cool things there on top of the usual grocery items. It’s entirely possible for me to feed our family of 6 (who eat A LOT), for a little over $100 a week WITHOUT paying too much attention to what’s going in the cart. Last week before I went shopping, I thought it would be fun to learn how to make pizza on the grill.
It would give me something fun to do with the kids, and feed them. I’m all for double duty. Makes life easier. I’ve purchased all of the items we used to make the pizzas on the grill at Aldi before so I knew it would be crazy easy to make, and also crazy inexpensive! #winning We made 4 personal pizzas for under $10 and that’s really over estimating since we didn’t use all of the ingredients on this meal!

ingredients
- naan bread (comes in a pack of 4 for less than $4)
- spaghetti sauce (under $1)
- mozzarella cheese (under $2)
- pepperoni (under $3)
directions
- preheat the grill, and clean off the grate.
- turn burners on low
- let your kids go to town with sauce and toppings
- place pizza directly on the grill, and cook until cheese is bubbly. Since I had the burners on low, it took about 10 minutes. I kept the grill lid closed, and checked frequently. I wanted to make sure the bottoms of the pizzas weren’t burning. They were perfect!
The kids loved them, and the fact that they got to eat outside. Of course.. they did tell me they were bored a couple of minutes later. At least, I didn’t feel guilty when I told them it was time to find something to do on their own, and I knew they couldn’t possibly be hungry!! 😉
